Recently, the reporter visited the Yanqing competition area of the Beijing Winter Olympics. The Yanqing competition area of the Beijing Winter Olympics is located in the Xiaohaituo Mountain area, with the highest point of 2198 meters. It is the most difficult competition area for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. The construction process has gone through 4 years.
Reporters at the scene saw that the Yanqing competition area of the Beijing Winter Olympics has been basically completed, 23 supporting infrastructure projects have been completed, and the completion rate has exceeded 95%. The four major venues of the National Alpine Ski Center, the National Snowmobile and Sled Center, the Yanqing Winter Olympic Village and the Mountain News Center in the Yanqing competition area have all been completed. The National Alpine Ski Center has built 7 ski trails. It is the first domestic alpine skiing venue that meets the Olympic standards and one of the most difficult competition venues in the world today. At present, the 7 ski trails and ancillary facilities in the stadium have all completed the construction tasks, and they will be certified by the International Snow Federation in November 2020. Its auxiliary buildings, road systems, cableway systems, communication systems, power systems and snow-making and water diversion systems have all been completed and put into use, and the conditions for the competition have been met.

The National Snowmobile and Sled Center can be described as the new venue with the most difficult design and construction among the Beijing Winter Olympics competition venues. The national snowmobile sled center track is a semi-U-shaped concrete pouring structure. The 1.9-kilometer-long track is cast in one time, and the condensing tube with an error of no more than 5 mm is embedded in the concrete. The track is finally formed by making ice on the surface. In September 2020, the National Snowmobile and Sled Center has completed ice making and successfully passed the International Snowmobile and Sled Federation site certification.

It is reported that the Yanqing competition area has not only done a good job of serving the Beijing Winter Olympics, but also has a long-term sustainable use long-term plan. After the Winter Olympics, it will become a four-season tourist attraction and a place for people to participate in winter sports. In the Yanqing Dream Origin Skating Hall, the reporter saw that young athletes practice skating under the guidance of coaches. Yanqing District took the Beijing Winter Olympics as an opportunity to vigorously develop ice and snow sports infrastructure. The skating hall opened in early 2019 to undertake training tasks for professional teams from all over the country, and at the same time open to the public to promote ice and snow sports.
